Much More Than Just a Remote
The original PMC was a breakthrough in control technology. Featuring 2-way radio communication, the original PMC was able to display all the information a user including real time information, such as the run time of a CD.
The PMCII adds to the original by allowing complete control of ones music collection via uMusic™ profiles, and gives access to the whole library of music stored on the system. With its radio frequency technology and built in LCD screen, it is like having your entire collection at the tip of your fingers.
The PMCII also allows switching between audio stream1 to audio stream2 on the fly. This allows for 2 different uMusic™ profiles to be played in different rooms throughout the home all at the same time.
Working with an AV-38 or AV-48 media center, it can even control the downstairs cable box from the upstairs bedroom- making it a whole home control option.
Combined with the new Bose® link expansion amplifiers, the PMCII allows for 14 rooms of independent volume control (PMCII s in each room) and individual access to one of 2 audio sources. Coupled with uMusic™, the PMCII gives total access to your music when and where you want it!
The Lifestyle® 48 has room for approximately 340 hours of music, which translates to about 275 CDs. Remarkably, the uMusic system also "learns" your musical preferences as you listen to music on the system, and selects songs based on its knowledge of what you like. Suddenly random play isn't so random because the uMusic system plays more of the songs you listen to most.
Of course, all of this new technology is matched with Bose's tradition of superb design. Each element is engineered to work in harmony with the others, delivering a combination of performance, elegance and simplicity unmatched by conventional component-based systems.
