Asheville Film Festival
Once again, Harmony Interiors has been selected as the Technical Director of the Asheville Film Festival.
This is a large undertaking considering the amount of films but also because of the tremendous variation in content. It's not like showing the same film a hundred times at the multiplex. These films are all very different and need special attention to preserve the filmmaker's intent. Luckily, our staff not only has the technical experience but also the sound mixing and film production background as well. So, we lend a certain respect (and sympathy) to the filmmaker's craft.

That being said, we decided to spice up our commercial this year. As you may know, before the feature films there are ads from the major sponsors. This year instead of the normal boring "Hi, we make nice theaters" cheese, we decided to take more of a festival approach to the ad. We made a short film that just happens to be a commercial.
We recruited the mad geniuses of Found Films and the cast of their latest film to create a spontaneous and happily odd film. It's all local talent and it is in keeping with a film fest crowd, but most importantly, it preserves the spirit of keeping Asheville weird!
We are happy to be working with the festival this year, we enjoy building great theaters, but we love making films. Enjoy the festival ... even the commercials.
